The story

The owners came to us with a handsome but tired townhouse and a simple brief: make it quieter, brighter, and built to last a hundred years.

We rebuilt the kitchen around a single long island of honed stone, with inset painted cabinetry milled in our shop and hardware chosen to age rather than wear. Sightlines were opened to the stair hall so daylight from the south windows reaches the back of the plan.

Every casing, apron, and stool in the house was hand-milled to match the original 1890s profiles, then finished on site.
